Central RED Offers Look at Start of Liberty Street Kitchen

Bram Govaerts, winner of the 2014 World Food Prize, will present Central College’s annual World Food Prize Lecture from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Central College alum Harry Smith will be the keynote speaker at the annual event Called to Climate Action: Uphold and Upheave.
“Mid-Americana: Stories from a Changing Midwest” launched its second season Oct. 7.
An exhibit featuring current resident artists of the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio will run from Oct. 21 to Nov. 20 at the Central College Mills Gallery.
Central College held its annual Service Day on Oct. 6 with more than 650 volunteers taking part in 50 projects.
Kyle Korver, an NBA veteran who spent this season with the Milwaukee Bucks, will speak on campus at Central College at 7 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 28, in P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
Service Day is a cornerstone of the Central experience since 2006. Last year, more than 600 volunteers took part in nearly 50 projects.

Central College will welcome the works of alum Ryan Bredlau to the Mills Gallery in the Lubbers Center for the Visual Arts from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16.
