Central received a gift of more than $860,000 from the estate of Helen Diehl, a longtime friend of the college, to make a Central education possible for students from Jasper County, Iowa.

Central College held its annual Service Day on Oct. 29 with more than 600 volunteers taking part in nearly 50 projects.
Central College’s Central RED Society will spend a day in Newton, leaving Pella at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
