Nicole Kaplan has been awarded the Kenneth J. Weller Distinguished Professorship of the Liberal Arts. Named after Central College’s 18th president, who served 1970-90, the three-year endowed professorship recognizes a distinguished faculty member and provides support for teaching, research and scholarship.
Central College celebrated commencement May 14. The graduating class included 257 graduates from 21 states. Speaker Chris Hulleman ‘93 presented “Mindsets: Your GPS For Your Future.” Hulleman serves as a research associate professor in the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning and also the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia.
