Central College had a lot to celebrate in 2021. As we look ahead to a new year with optimism and purpose, we look back at some of the most impactful Central stories of 2021.
Central has partnered with Drake University, Grand View University, Simpson College and William Penn University to form the BIPOC Coalition. The coalition seeks to foster a sense of community, cultivate leadership and provide mutual support for Black, Indigenous and people of color.
Central College will receive a generous gift of $500,000 from Paul Poppen, a 1969 Central graduate, to establish the Poppen Fund for Social Justice Programs and the Poppen Diversity Scholarship.
Central College is proud to announce it will sponsor the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce’s first annual Black and Brown Business Summit, presented by Principal Financial Group, from April 22-23.
