Practicing interviewing skills is essential for a college student seeking an internship or a job after graduation. “Speed-dating” interviews were all the rage at Central’s first Interview Blitz, which gave students practical experience.
Central students had the opportunity to get their name out in the business world with the annual Central College Internship Networking Fair.
Central College was awarded a $2,000 grant from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation. The grant will support four students who are completing unpaid internships for nonprofit or social service organizations.
Central College will be hosting a BIG Dream Gathering in the Graham Conference Center Tuesday, March 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
More than 150 students and 40 employers participated in this year’s Internship Fair, which connected students with potential internships and offered networking for all.
On Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Central College Career Center will host 16 alumni working for the government. The fall Meet the Pros event will include alumni from a variety of majors, giving current students the chance to meet successful professionals.
Sponsored by Central’s career Center, 11 health professionals will visit the college for the Meet the Pros event Oct. 18.
