Jitro, which translates to “the daybreak,” is renowned as one of the best children’s choirs in the world. The ensemble will perform a repertoire of 15 songs spanning from the 16th century to the present day.
Orchestra students from three area high schools will attend Stringfest ’12 Feb. 23, spending the day in workshops and rehearsals before capping off the event with a performance in Douwstra Auditorium.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble kicks off on its annual tour with two performances in central Iowa Jan. 4-5. The ensemble will then host nine performances, titled “Salute to American Composers,” in New Orleans and the surrounding area.
The A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers, Handbell Choir and College-Community Orchestra will present Christmas music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Stephen Paulus, John Rutter and others.
