PELLA — The Gold Trio, comprised of musicians Joseph Gold and Marco Cadario and singer Antonella Romanazzi, will perform a recital at Central College Oct. 10.
A California native and violinist, Gold serves as both concertmaster and director of chamber music of the Spoleto Music Festival in Italy and has achieved recognition for his interpretations of violin music by Niccolò Paganini, Antonio Bazzini and other artists. Gold was internationally recognition as the violin soloist for Luciano Pavarotti, an operatic tenor singer in Italy.
A native of Italy, Romanazzi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari and the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan. The soprano singer has performed in operas and operettas by Wolfgang Mozart, Franz Lehar and Giacomo Insanguine.
Pianist Cadario, also Italian, studied at the Milan Conservatory and has performed with many artists from the Cleveland Orchestra Massimo La Rosa and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Cadario is also the official pianist in the International Brass Competition Citta di Porcia.
The Gold Trio will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Cox Snow Recital Hall. They will also hold a master class Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
