Central College’s Red Vocal and Instrumental Combos will perform Wednesday, October 19 at 8 p.m. in Cox-Snow Recital Hall.
Under the direction of Gabriel Espinosa, associate professor of music, students will perform popular songs from pop, rock and jazz genres. The show will also feature Spanish professor Sam Mate-Kodjo as a faculty guest. Mate-Kodjo will sing “Cachito Cachito.”
Red Combos vocal members are sophomores Jeff Ewing of Beloit and Meghan Freme of Cedar Rapids; junior Elizabeth Herriot of Oregon, Ill.; freshman Curtis Jackson of Newton; junior Andrea Kroeger of West Des Moines; senior Kylie Sampson of Story City and junior Rachel Lehr of Indianola.
Band members include Jackson, senior Zachary Jacobs of Battle Creek, Mich., junior Tyler Morgan of Centerville and freshman Robert Woodle from Knoxville.
The show is free and open to the public. Tickets must be acquired in advance, and are available at the information booth in Maytag Student Center or by calling (641) 628-9000.
