Central College students Chelsea Grieger and Taylor Schuelke were recognized with journalism awards for their work with “The Ray,” Central’s student newspaper. Central and Bangor University recently made an agreement to allow selected students to insert an “American Year” into their studies. The agreement is expected to last for the foreseeable future, bringing five students to Central each fall.

On May 12, 323 seniors will graduate from Central College. The baccalaureate service will begin at 9:30 a.m. in First Reformed Church. The commencement ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.

Set in in the near future, “Natural Selection” depicts a North America where technology rules supreme and the artificial has replaced the natural. Performances are April 25-28 in Kruidenier Center.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an international dinner with the theme of “A Tango from Argentina.” Dinner will be followed by music and dancing led by renowned Argentinian band Los Pinguos at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Cory Ingram ’91 will give an interactive presentation titled “The ‘Art’ of Personal Caring,” a heartfelt exploration of what it means to give and receive the most personal care possible when a family is living with serious illness.
