Margaret Tungseth, vice president for finance and administration at Central College, has been awarded the position of treasurer at the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA). Tungseth will be treasurer for the 2012-13 membership year.
“To be successful as a business officer, I feel it is important to get involved beyond my own campus,” said Tungseth. “Expanding my perspective by engaging other institution leaders in strategic discussions benefits me personally but also Central College, in terms of what I can bring back to my position.”
Tungseth served as treasurer from 2004-2009. As a second-time treasurer of the organization, she displays leadership and dedication to risk management in colleges and universities around the country. Tungseth also served as president of URMIA from 2009-2010.
