Dennis King, regional manager for Latin America at Vermeer Manufacturing, will give a presentation on global markets at Central College Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. in van Emmerik Studio.
King’s global markets presentation will include his personal background and experiences, issues related to international business and the role of language in business. Faculty members are encouraged to bring classes, and students are welcome to attend individually.
“It’s good for students to see the importance of global learning in their futures,” said Ally Krogstad, associate professor of Spanish. “This presentation will give them a practical look at jobs dealing with global issues.”
Central and Vermeer maintain a partnership to provide one another educational opportunities involving language, international business and cultural interaction.
The presentation is being held in conjunction with Central College Abroad’s International Week, which features a series of engagements about international experience and education. Central College Abroad hosts semester, yearlong and summer study abroad programs worldwide.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Krogstad at 641-628-5126 or krogstada@central.edu.
