The Central College Flying Pans Steel Band will perform its first concert of the semester, SUPERPAN.

The band, directed by Stan Dahl, assistant professor of music, presents a heroic superhero adventure featuring Dahl’s original rock, soca, funk and Latin music intertwined with drums, lights and special effects.

The Flying Pans work under the secret identity team, SUPERPAN, to defend the city of PANOPOLIS from the menacing forces of B.A.R.R.E.L. Will the Flying Pans be able to stop B.A.R.R.E.L. in time?

The Flying Pans will play Nov. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. in Douwstra Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at the Cox-Snow Music Center by calling 641-628-7520. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students and free with a Central ID.
