Central College won four Best of Red Rock Area awards from Marion County Development Commission. For 2015, Central was named Best Caterer, Best Wedding Reception Venue and Best Conference Venue — and attending Central College events was named among Top 10 Activities.
Awards were given to recipients who received the highest number of votes in each of the 53 categories. Special recognition was given to those who made the top ten, as well as each voted #1 in Places to Eat, Places to Shop and Things to Do.
Winners in the Best of Red Rock Area were determined by 900 voters who visited the Marion County Development Commission website from Feb. 1 to Nov. 1, 2015. The Marion County Development Commission sponsors the contest in order to promote hospitality and service throughout the tourism industry in the area. The 2016 Best of the Red Rock Area contest begins in February and runs through Nov. 1, 2016.
