Wilma Maassen David ’52 was named one of 75 Heroes chosen by Florida’s governor and first lady. David went to the Florida governor’s mansion for the recognition as the oldest recipient at age 96.
“Wilma David is an unwavering advocate, counselor and educator dedicated to aging, Alzheimer’s and related dementias awareness. For four decades, Wilma has led caregivers support groups and generously volunteered her time with residents at the assisted living facilities on Penney Retirement Community’s campus,” states the certificate.
