Wilma Damhof Hoekstra ’45 and ’69 shared her love of monarch butterflies by writing a book, Mona and Me. She is a lifetime educator. Hoekstra graduated with a teaching certificate in 1943 and returned to earn her B.S. degree in 1969. She taught first grade in Pella, Iowa, for more than 20 years. She wrote the book to share her knowledge and love for butterflies with the next generation. Read more at KCCI-8 TV.
