Cory Ingram ’91, M.D., has been appointed enterprise chair of humanities in medicine at the Mayo Clinic. Ingram also serves as the co-director of communication in health care, assistant professor of palliative medicine, assistant professor of spiritual care and assistant professor of family medicine, College of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. At Central he study abroad in the Netherlands and after graduation he attended Leiden University in The Netherlands to earn his medical degree.
He shared these words with Central about the late Mildred Steele, assistant professor of English, “Dr. Mildred Steele took a chance on me back in 1987 and transformed my life from a struggling mildly academically engaged high school student to pilgrim on an academic ‘camino’. It didn’t happen overnight, but she ignited the fire.
