Central College has hired Michelle Wilkie and Kevin Stittsworth as part of the college advancement team. Wilkie now serves as corporate relations and major gifts officer. Stittsworth, a 1995 Central graduate, will be director of alumni relations.
Michelle Wilkie, originally from Hawaii, most recently worked in fundraising and corporate relations for the American Cancer Society in Seattle, Wash. She received the American Cancer Society certificate of excellence, voted on by her peers and senior leaders, for her positive, solutions-focused attitude. She completed a bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in international affairs.
Wilkie said she is passionate about education and excited to be a part of Central College fundraising priorities. Her work will focus on corporations, foundations and grants. Wilkie and her husband, Dan, live in Des Moines.
Kevin Stittsworth ‘95 has held communications positions with DuPont Pioneer, Iowa Telecom, Amerus Group and Mercy Medical Center. He most recently served as a consultant for Change and Innovation Agency, an organization that helps health and human services offices improve their processes to provide same-day service to clients. As a Central student, Stittsworth was a student worker in sports information and completed a communications degree.
Stittsworth said he has a passion for Central because he values the education, experiences and relationships that helped shape him into the person he is today. Stittsworth is from Knoxville and is active in his community. He is a past president and founding member of the Knoxville Alumni Association and former vice president of Knoxville Dollars for Scholars. He currently serves on the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Foundation board.
