The Central flute ensemble Argento Fuoco, under the direction of adjunct instructor of music Claudia Anderson, will host a concert Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Cox-Snow Recital Hall.
In only its second year on campus, Argento Fuoco has established itself as an ensemble with fascinating and varied repertoire. The program features music by Hovhaness, de Antiquis, Mozart, Adler, Gomez, Caliendo and Clarke. The percussion studio of Stan Dahl, assistant professor of music, will participate in the atmospheric work “Streams” by Alice Gomez.
Argenta Fuoco members include sophomore Joanna Blomquist of Stuart; freshman Stephanie Griffith of Newton; sophomore Amanda Jacobs of Battle Creek, Mich.; junior Leah Pieper of Ankeny, freshman Breanne Riesberg of Perry and freshman Lexi Waymire of Elk Horn.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Debbie Abel at 641-628-5236 or abeld@central.edu.
