PELLA — Central College senior Kelilah Brown, a bassoonist, will perform a recital Sunday, Jan. 23, in Cox-Snow Recital Hall at 3 p.m. This is a makeup concert from the original one schedule Dec. 4. The event is free and open to the public.
Brown, an instrumental music education major from Newton, will perform works by Alexandre Tansman, Leonard Bernstein, Paul Hindemith and Carl Maria von Weber. “Concerto for Trumpet, Bassoon, and String Orchestra” by Paul Hundemith will feature Justin Von Ahsen on trumpet. Marlys Grimm will accompany on piano. A reception will follow.
The senior recital series is presented by the Central College music department.
