Central College students perform “The Ice Fishing Play”

Theatre Central will be hosting four performances of Kevin Kling’s “The Ice Fishing Play” Feb. 26–March 1 in the Kruidenier Center at Central College. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

“The Ice Fishing Play,” directed by Ann Wilkinson, is a comedy about a man who goes ice fishing to try to catch “the big one.” The world of ice fishing is mixed with memories of the past in this play about one man’s struggle to connect.

Author Kevin Kling is a well-known humorist, playwright and storyteller. He is also a commentator on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” program. His plays and adaptations have been performed all over the world and have won numerous awards. He will be in residence at Central Feb. 17-22.

Cost for general admission is $5. Student tickets are $3, and admission is free with a Central ID. Tickets are available at the Maytag Information Booth or by calling 641-628-9000.
