Central Conversations is a weekly podcast hosted by Central College. Leading the conversations are two Central alumni and trustees, Clay Thompson, Class of 1990, and Harry Smith, Class of 1973.
They will interview members of the Central community about their lives and careers across multiple sectors and academic disciplines. The theme of the podcast is to explore the importance of being life-long learners and continually curious.
Smith is a retired multi-Emmy award-winning reporter, member of the Central Board of Trustees and an executive-in-residence for the Fall 2024 semester. He is teaching a course, Commencement: The Beginning, this semester.
Thompson is a retired vice president of Caterpillar Financial Services, a member of the Central Board of Trustees and an executive-in-residence for the Fall 2024 semester. He is teaching a course, Leading a Problem-Solving Organization, this semester.
