Central College announces the recipients of its prestigious full-tuition scholarships for the Class of 2029, recognizing both the outstanding achievements of these students and the incredible generosity of the donors who make these awards possible.

“Central attracts truly remarkable students who are deeply committed to their aspirations,” says Chevy Freiburger, vice president for enrollment management and dean of admission. “It is an honor to celebrate these top scholars who have earned full-tuition scholarships through their dedication and talent.”

These life-changing scholarships are made possible by the unwavering commitment of devoted donors who believe in Central’s mission to provide an exceptional and accessible education. The scholarships awarded this year include the H.S. Kuyper Scholarship, Joan Kuyper Scholarship, P.H. Kuyper Scholarship, Pella Corporation Engineering Scholarship, Timmer Family Scholarship and Thomas Ross Smith Scholarship. Philanthropy directly empowers these bright minds to pursue their academic and personal goals without the burden of tuition costs.

Recipients are chosen based on their impressive high school accomplishments and their engaging participation in Central’s highly competitive Scholar Days, held each November and January. These events bring together high-achieving prospective students who demonstrate the potential to thrive within Central’s rigorous academic environment.

“The Class of 2029 scholarship recipients embody the curious and inquisitive spirit that will undoubtedly lead them to make significant contributions to our communities and the world,” Freiburger adds. “We extend our sincerest congratulations to these deserving scholars and our deepest gratitude to the donors whose vision and generosity make their dreams a reality.”
