Central College Student Development office announced the 2025 student leadership award recipients. Each year, Student Development seeks nominations campus-wide to recognize the contributions, achievements and efforts of Central students, student groups and club advisors. This year, the office received over 50 nominations!
A panel representing Academic Affairs and Student Development reviewed the nominations and selected the following award recipients for 2025. Congratulations to all the nominees and the 2025 award recipients.
- Bridge Builder Award: Becca Vala, Class of 2025
- Diversity & Inclusion Award: Fynn Wadsworth, Class of 2025, and Esveidy Soto-Soto, Class of 2025 (December)
- Organizational Excellence Award: Students Against Sexual Assault
- Outstanding Event Award: The Black African American Student Union Late Night Central, and Out of the Darkness Walk
- Outstanding New Leader Award: Mickey Martens, Class of 2027
- Senior Student Development Award: Alyson Tenney, Class of 2025
- Service Award: Donovan Klish, Class of 2028
- Student Organization Advisors of the Year Award: Shelley Bradfield, associate professor of communication studies and advisor to Students Against Sexual Assault, and Dave Pavlat, associate professor of kinesiology and advisor to the Kinesiology Club
- Unsung Hero Award: Allyssa Jubeck, Class of 2025, and Chris Ver Heul, Class of 2026
