Central College Student Senate announces the executive officers for the 2024-25 academic year.

  • Mya Ehresman of Huxley, Iowa, will continue her role as Student Senate secretary for a second term. Ehresman, a member of the Class of 2026, is majoring in business management and communication studies.
  • Cassie Elliott of Cumming, Iowa, will continue her role as parliamentarian for a second term. She is a member of the Class of 2026 with a psychology major and English minor.
  • Abbi Goering of Saint Charles, Iowa, will assume the role of senate leader. A member of the Class of 2026, she is majoring in elementary education.
  • Gunner Hutton of Saint Charles, Iowa, will serve his third term as treasurer. Hutton is an art and business marketing major in the Class of 2025.
  • Savannah Sexton has been elected as president. A business management major and Spanish minor from West Branch, Iowa, Sexton will graduate in 2025.

  • Bailey Acton, Class of 2026 undeclared major from Winterset, Iowa.
  • Bailey Anderson, Class of 2025 kinesiology major from Jefferson, South Dakota.
  • Summer Chambers, Class of 2027 undeclared major from Aurora, Illinois.
  • Piper Eighmy, Class of 2027 biology and business management major from Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Grant Fletcher, Class of 2028 undeclared major from Norwalk, Iowa.
  • Conner Hansen, Class of 2028 undeclared major from Hartford, Iowa.
  • Randy Jimenez, Class of 2025 business management major and psychology minor from Indianola, Iowa.
  • Donovan Klish, Class of 2028 undeclared major from Liberty, Missouri.
  • Jennifer Larson, Class of 2025 biochemistry major and biology minor from Johnston, Iowa.
  • Nathan Larson, Class of 2025 communication studies major from Britt, Iowa.
  • Nehemiah McAllister, Class of 2027 undeclared major from Aurora, Colorado.
  • Emily McMartin, Class of 2026 elementary education major from Pella, Iowa.
  • Emma Murphy, Class of 2027 undeclared major from Liberty, Missouri.
  • Jaycee Shaver, Class of 2026 psychology major and biology and cultural anthropology minor from Newton, Iowa.
  • Mikayla Smith, Class of 2026 elementary education major from Ankeny, Iowa.
  • Nathan Smith, Class of 2026 biology and biochemistry major and Spanish minor from Cedar Falls, Iowa.
  • Esveidy Soto-Soto, Class of 2026 business management major and Spanish, communication studies and accounting minor from Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Cashen Thompson, Class of 2027 undeclared major from Pella, Iowa.
  • Dante Trinidad-Gomez, Class of 2026 political science and psychology major and philosophy minor from Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Alex Volden, Class of 2028 undeclared major from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Central’s Student Senate seeks to establish an effective and representative government for the students of the college. The senate strives to encourage collaboration among faculty, administrative staff, student senators and students through the implementation of policies that benefit all Central students.

The senate also works toward the creation, recognition and financial support of student organizations. Senators aim to enable Central students to pursue their own unique and successful experiences at Central.
