Central College introduces eight new faculty members for the 2024-25 academic year. Central continues its solid reputation encouraging students to be thought-leaders in their chosen career paths and engaged citizens. These new faculty members will nurture Central students during their journey at Central.

“We look forward to the new academic year and welcoming new faculty members who are committed to our mission,” says Mark Putnam, Central president. “A rich and diverse curriculum and faculty who are dedicated to teaching are hallmarks of Central. Faculty connections and classroom encounters shape students’ education and futures.”

Mindy Graham-Hinners ’00 returns to Central as an assistant professor of psychology. She earned a B.A. from Central in 2000, M.S. Ed. from Drake University and Ph.D. from West Virginia University.

Tuan Ho-Quoc will be an assistant professor of economics. He was awarded a B.A. and M.A. from University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.

Timothy Johnson joins Central as an associate professor of Spanish. He earned a B.A. at the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. and Ph.D. from University of California – Davis.

Anudeep Reddy Vedire begins this semester as an assistant professor of engineering. He earned a B.T. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, an M.S. at The University of Toledo, and Ph.D. at the University of Akron.

Abby Rocha will be an assistant professor of mathematics. She earned a B.S. from Western Illinois University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Arizona State University.

Kristen Thompson begins as an associate professor of engineering. She earned a B.S. at Michigan Technological University and Ph.D. at University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Stephanie Wise joins Central as an instructor of political science. She was awarded a B.A. from Baylor University, an M.A. from University of Colorado at Boulder and Ph.D. from University of North Texas.

Papae Wymore will be a lecturer of education this fall. She earned a B.A. at Buena Vista University and an M.A. Ed. from Viterbo University.
