The Marion County Development Commission recently announced the 2022 Red Rock Area Top 10 Under 40. Tori Fyfe, assistant director of community-based learning at Central College and a 2020 graduate, was recognized as one of the 10 outstanding individuals under 40.
Nominees were chosen for their involvement in community initiatives, the impact they have made through their professional careers and their leadership qualities.
“Showcasing our young professionals illustrates the tremendous opportunity in the Red Rock area for both personal and professional growth,” says Carla Eysink, MCDC executive director. “Young adults are taking an active role in shaping the future of our companies and our communities.”
Fyfe was nominated for this award because of her commitment to her work on Central’s campus and in her community. Her involvement as an AmeriCorps Service Member and as a volunteer with The Work of our Hands and Bethany Christian Services highlights the impact she is making on the city of Pella.
“Tori is so deserving of this award. She gets what it means to be a contributing member of the community,” says Jess Klyn De Novelo, associate dean for career development and civic engagement, a 2005 Central graduate and Fyfe’s supervisor. “She’s incredibly generous with her time and talent, and Marion County and our greater community are fortunate she’s chosen Pella as her home.”
