Central College’s Central RED Society will present “Life of an Iowa Mixed Animal Veterinarian” with Tim Yoder on Thursday, Sept. 23.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. in Dave and Ardie Sutphen Common Room in Central’s Graham Annex. The presentation will follow at 1 p.m. at Yoder’s residence. Cost is $10, and membership to Central RED is required to attend. Please bring your own chair to the presentation.
Mixed practice veterinarians are practitioners who specialize in health management of both large and small animals. Yoder will facilitate an interactive discussion about what it’s like to be a mixed animal veterinarian.
Yoder was raised on a farm in south central Kansas. He earned his undergraduate degree and attended veterinary school at Kansas State University. Yoder began working at Tri-County Veterinary Clinic in Pella in 1992 and became the owner in 1996.
