Central College is hosting a hands-on STEM Camp Visit Day for high school students. Sponsored by Marion County Community Foundation, the free event will take place Friday, July 24, and gives prospective students a chance to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Students attending STEM Camp Visit Day will explore campus and work side-by-side with Central professors. They can choose from five sessions with topics in chemistry reactions with slime, statistics with dolphins, thermal imaging and hidden structures, discovering the why and what of human movement and robots and computer science.
Additionally, those in attendance will have time to learn and connect with Central alumni in STEM related fields.
