PPI (Precision Inc.) of Pella will continue its longstanding support of Central College with gifts in service of academics and athletics.
PPI will provide an increased level of support for the Journey Scholarship Fund. At Central, 99 percent of students receive financial aid, and Journey Scholarships play a vital role in ensuring students have access to a high-quality education. PPI will also provide funding for new athletics equipment and branding, including new external scoreboards for the soccer, baseball and softball fields, a variety of new windscreens and signage, and replacing the logo on the football field to reflect the college’s new graphic identity.
“PPI shares Central’s belief in the value of a high-quality college education. We’re pleased to partner with Central on creating these academic and athletic experiences for students,” said Roger Brown, president and CEO, PPI.
These gifts continue PPI’s nearly four decades of partnership with Central College. President Mark Putnam said, “Central depends on partners in the community to help us succeed, and PPI has been a leader in supporting Central students through scholarships and athletics projects. Our community connections are vital for providing opportunities to students.”
Eric Van Kley, director of athletics, said, “Once again, PPI is stepping up when there is a need. We’re tremendously grateful for the company’s continued support and the significant investment PPI makes, not only in our student-athletes but in the Pella community. This gift enhances the game-day experience for our students, parents and fans, as well as raises our athletics program’s profile. We’re really excited about the ongoing improvements we’re making in the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex, and PPI is playing a critical role in that. We’re blessed to have such a valued partner in our community.”
