It’s almost time to bid farewell to friends, faculty and Fred’s! But before we pack up for the summer, we’ve got to enjoy every last moment of the spring semester.
Get Your Seats!
Don’t miss the final concerts of the semester — or your chance to hear President Mark Putnam perform with the Blue Combos! Next up, the Flying Pans, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band all the end the semester with seriously amazing sounds. Plus, the A Cappella Choir launches their tour to Germany and Austria with two concerts in the Chapel!
Soak Up the Sunshine
Don’t miss any gorgeous spring days! It’s the perfect time to study outside, catch a round of gennis and take a lap around the pond.
Show Off Your Work
We’ve been working hard all semester — time to present your accomplishments during the Undergraduate Research Symposium on May 2. It’s also your chance to be inspired by impressive projects your classmates have taken on.
Go Dutch!
Support your classmates and catch their softball and baseball games, track and field events, tennis matches and golf meets on campus (they’re free with Central ID). Not to mention, spring is the best time for pickup games and intramural competitions!
Run for Fun
Come get your glow sticks and reflective gear for a Glow Run through campus April 28. The race is 1.853 miles (hint: Central’s founding year!), with a finish line on the football field. Friends, family and community members are invited to this free, colorful fun run — and to warm up for Pella’s annual Klompen Classic 5K.
Get Your Moves On
Dance the stress away — whether turning up your jam for a workout or learning how to Dutch dance for Tulip Time!
Everything Glows
Central’s favorite Final Fling traditions are back (with new surprises) April 29-30. Don’t stop with the glow run — there’s also glowing sand volleyball and a glow dance on Fred’s patio. Not to mention boat races, the second annual hog roast and bacon day, lip sync contest, s’more roast and laser tag on the Gaass lawn!
Get Ready for Next Year
There are more exciting groups to be involved in each year. Don’t forget to apply for fall leadership positions in your favorite organizations and clubs! It’s time to look forward to next year’s adventures, even while saying our goodbyes.
You Did It!
It’s time to congratulate the class of 2017! We’ll be wishing our seniors well as they celebrate commencement May 13. We’re going to miss you!
