Central College presents the play “Steel Magnolias” at 7:30 p.m. March 1-4 at the Pella Opera House. This celebrated Southern classic follows six women who share personal triumphs, tragedies, beauty tips, recipes and more in Chinquapin, Louisiana. In Truvy’s Beauty Salon, hair is high and tales are even taller. These women can be as delicate as the magnolia flower, but also —when needed — as tough as steel.
Tickets to “Steel Magnolias” are available at Maytag Student Center (641-628-9000) and Pella Opera House (641 628-8625). Tickets will also be available at the door before performances. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and free with Central ID.
