SWE hosts variety show to benefit Nashville tour

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Central College will be hosting a variety show featuring administration, faculty and students on Nov. 7.

The evening show will include various entertainers, including  SWE, Central College President Mark Putnam performing a dramatic reading, the Central Improv group, associate professor of philosophy Mike Patzia on piano, vocal combos, ukuleles and many more. Free snacks will be provided throughout the show.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Graham Banquet Hall. All proceeds from the show will support the SWE tour to Nashville, Tenn. While in Nashville, the ensemble will participate in service-learning to support the Nashville Food Bank.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can vote for their favorite act by putting a ballot or a donation in their designated box at the event.
