A Cappella Choir presents Rock-A-Pella

PELLA, Iowa — Central College’s A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Mark Babcock, will hold a variety show to raise money for their upcoming Midwest tour. The Rock-A-Pella concert will begin at 7 p.m. in Douwstra Auditorium Friday, Feb. 18, and is free and open to the public.

Some of the acts include a comedy skit performed by Erik Donner, senior from Princeton, Ill., and Chloe Gearhart, freshman from Newton; a monologue by Jacob Stevenson, sophomore of Nauvoo, Ill.; “All I Ask of You” by Sara Gregory, sophomore from Altoona, and David Pugh, sophomore from Des Moines; “Time After Time/Longest Time” by Cameron Van Kooten, sophomore from Pella, Jeff Ewing, freshman from Clinton, Wis., and Nate Graves, freshman from Jefferson; a duet by Morgan Remick, sophomore from Hillsboro, and Ben Fry, sophomore from New London; a jazz solo by  Meghan Nelson, freshman from Treynor; and a duet, “Poor Wayfaring Stranger” by Alec Carlson, sophomore from Red Oak, and Ian Michel, sophomore from Decorah.

The concert will conclude with a preview of the songs the choir will perform on their Midwest spring break tour. Make sure your favorite act wins by donating in the boxes after the performance in the lobby of Douwstra Auditorium.

The A Cappella Choir will be touring the Midwest March 11-17 and will perform at locations in Iowa, Missouri, Texas and Kansas.
