Iowa’s bee population is dwindling, but research on the subject is hard to find. Associate professor of biology Paulina Mena has studied bees for over a decade, and she works with Central College students each year to uncover current trends. From her start in Chile to combing Iowa prairies, Mena has collected thousands of bees and insight into the changes that threaten them.
