Kristin Lewis, director of TRIO pre-college programs at Central College, has been elected the president of the Iowa TRIO Association. Iowa TRIO is part of a larger 10-state regional association — the Educational Opportunity Association. As president, Lewis will organize committee work to provide growth and leadership to TRIO professionals as well as to students participating in TRIO programs. Iowa TRIO represents 54 TRIO programs currently funded to serve 18,181 Iowa students from 6th grade to graduate programs. At Central, Lewis leads the Talent Search and Upward Bound programs serving Central Iowa.
