Central College Head Baseball Coach Matt Schirm joins his hometown newspaper, the Journal-Eureka, to reflect on his life-altering experience playing baseball in El Salvador and Nicaragua for Athletes in Action. Schirm, an Anamosa, Iowa native, was the only Iowan chosen to be a part of the prestigious AIA team that toured Central America in the summer of 1999.
