David Chivers ’98 has been named president and publisher of The Des Moines Register and regional president of U.S. Community Publishing Central Group. Chivers, who has worked for several of the world’s top media companies, will also help oversee the Iowa City Press-Citizen, the St. Cloud Times, the Argus Leader, the Springfield News-Leader and The Baxter Bulletin.
