Central College announces the promotion of Steffanie Bonnstetter to director of communications and marketing. Most recently, Bonnstetter had been serving as senior content strategist – marketing and project management.
In her new role, Bonnstetter will oversee the college’s marketing, communications and media relations efforts.
“Steffanie’s depth of experience with enrollment and communications over her 17 years at Central is critical in leading the marketing work ahead for the college,” says Sunny Gonzales Eighmy, vice president for advancement and a 1999 Central graduate.
“In recent years, the stronger connection to alumni and development work, under the umbrella of advancement, positions Steffanie well to play a key role in advancing visibility and brand awareness, securing additional philanthropic support for strategic priorities and partnering to enroll talented students and future alumni,” Eighmy says.
Bonnstetter started at Central in 2006 as an admissions counselor and later served as an assistant director of admission and associate director of admission. In 2012, she joined Central’s communications team as the brand and project manager and later advanced to serve in her most recent role.
She actively serves the community as a commissioner on the Marion County Development Commission. Bonnstetter was awarded a Top 10 Under 40 Award for Young Professionals in Marion County in 2022. She is married to Kevin Bonnstetter, a 2005 Central alumnus. Together they are parents to boys Kade (6) and Klay (3) and Kal (newborn).
