Central College hosts election night radio coverage Nov. 8 from 8-11 p.m. in Fred’s. Bob Leonard, special news editor for KNIA/KRLS, will lead a live program with Andrew Green, professor of political science, Brian Peterson, professor of economics, and Randy Renstrom, assistant professor of psychology. The live broadcast and analysis will include national, state and local races. Guests are welcome to join students and staff for the event.

Since starting at KNIA/KRLS in 2007, Leonard has won many awards for radio news, often with Central College faculty members. This is the third national election Leonard will cover with Green and Peterson.

In recent elections, Central College students have voted at higher rates than students at peer institutions — three-quarters of Central students vote absentee. During this election’s caucus season, students also had opportunities to see Donald Trump, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Martin O’Malley and other candidates on campus.
