Faculty members spent part of winter break in Merida, Mexico, trying out global experiential learning—a foundation of the Central College education.
Central College is sponsoring an instrument donation initiative to benefit the Yucatan Youth Orchestra Program, a music education program based in Merida, Yucatan, for students with otherwise limited exposure to music opportunities.
Gabriel Espinosa, born in Yucatan, composes Brazilian Jazz in Iowa. He also teaches and directs nearly every style of music at Central College, his alma mater.
