Dr. Cory Ingram ’91 will give an interactive presentation titled “The ‘Art’ of Personal Caring,” a heartfelt exploration of what it means to give and receive the most personal care possible when a family is living with serious illness, at Central College’s Graham Conference Center April 12 at 7 p.m.
The program is aimed at those with family members living with a serious illness or anybody with questions about health and well-being. A practicing physician, Ingram specializes in caring for people with serious illness and their families, helping them to live well. He preaches a treatment style that seeks to provide both emotional and physical support to patients and families.
Ingram is also assistant professor of family medicine and palliative medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Mankato, Minn. Ingram speaks regularly on personal care across the country and has hosted extensive international presentations.
Ingram graduated from Central College in 1991 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies and went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Leiden in Leiden, the Netherlands, site of one of Central College Abroad’s eight study abroad locations.
Dessert and coffee will be available before the event, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
