International dinner to feature Sudanese cuisine

The Cultural Affairs office will host a Sudanese dinner Thurs. Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in Graham Banquet Hall.

The menu will feature traditional Sudanese dishes including Shorbet Adas (lentil soup), tamayya (chickpea patties), Moullah ba Patatis (beef with potatoes), salata ma jibna (salad with parmesan cheese) with pita bread and basta (pastry) for dessert.

The menu was planned and will be introduced by Central students Judy James and Omer Ali, both originally from Sudan.

After the dinner, attendees are encouraged to attend the theater department’s production of “Guys and Dolls” at 7:30 p.m. in the Kruidenier Center.

Attendees must register by Feb. 20. The cost is $15 per person, or $5 for Central students on a meal plan and children 6-10. Children under 6 are free.
