The Central College Flying Pans Steel Band will have its annual Caribbean Christmas concert Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Harry and Bernice Vermeer Banquet Hall in Graham Conference Center.
In this fun, family friendly concert, the Flying Pans Steel Band will perform traditional Christmas songs with a Caribbean twist, including “Carol of the Bells,” “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and many other holiday favorites.
“The Flying Pans Steel Band Caribbean Christmas is packed with fun, energy, jokes and holiday spirit,” says Stan Dahl, assistant professor of music and director of the ensemble.
Admission for the show is $5 or a new, unwrapped toy. Tickets can be purchased by calling Debbie Abel at 641-628-5236 or emailing abeld@central.edu. All proceeds from the concert go to Toys for Tots.
